At OurWeigh.In, the privacy of our visitors is of extreme importance to us. This privacy policy document outlines the types of personal information that is received and collected by OurWeigh.In and how it is used.

Email Addresses

We get your email address as part of our registration process, but we only use it in ways you want.

We collect your email address for the purposes of registration to this site. We may use this email address from time to time to relay important information related to OurWeigh.In such as information relating to password changes, site outages, site changes or where you have requested to be notified by email in relation to activities on the site (such as the notifications which can be selected in your Email Settings Page).

We will NEVER under any circumstances provide your email address to third parties unless we have requested and received permission from you to do so.

Your Personal Information

You give us some of your personal information but we don't give it to anyone. Its all for you.

This site is about collecting and tracking your weight loss and so from time to time you will enter your weight into the system. These weight entries will be stored in our database. The database also contains other information which you provide when you register on the site such as email address (see above), name, username and password. Your password is stored in an encrypted format and no one will have access to it. No one except a person logged into OurWeigh.In with your username and password will be able to access your personal weight history. Other users will only be able to see a value which represents your current weight as a percentage of the first weight that you entered on the site. That is all anyone else except you will ever be able to see.

Log Files

Stuff gets logged but its not linked to you. We don't use your IP address to identify you.

Like many other Web sites, OurWeigh.In makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol ( IP ) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider ( ISP ), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks to analyse trends, administer the site, track user's movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses, and other such information are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.


Your web browser gives us things like your IP but we don't use this information to identify you.

OurWeigh.In does use cookies to store information about visitors preferences, record user-specific information on which pages the user accesses or visits, customise web page content based on visitors browser type or other information that the visitor sends via their browser.

We also use third party advertisements on OurWeigh.In to support our site. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers (such as Google through the Google AdSense program) information including your IP address, your ISP, the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing New York real estate ads to someone in New York, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites).

You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites. This could include the inability to login to services or programs, such as logging into forums or accounts.

Deleting cookies does not mean you are permanently opted out of any advertising program. Unless you have settings that disallow cookies, the next time you visit a site running the advertisements, a new cookie will be added.
